CALI
Hire developers in Cali
Colombia's third-largest city with UTC-5 alignment and growing tech talent from ICESI and Universidad del Valle.
Cali's emerging tech talent pool
ICESI and Universidad del Valle
ICESI has a strong computer engineering and systems program. Universidad del Valle produces CS graduates with solid fundamentals. Both schools feed Cali's growing tech industry.
UTC-5: same as New York
Colombia doesn't observe daylight saving time. Cali is permanently on EST time, giving US East Coast teams complete real-time overlap with local engineers.
Underserved hiring market
Cali receives far less international recruiting attention than Bogotá and Medellín. Strong engineers are available with minimal competition, a real advantage for fast placements.
Experienced remote workers
Cali engineers who work for international companies are a self-selected group: motivated, experienced with remote work, and familiar with US professional expectations.
