About the Role
You will build and maintain the infrastructure that keeps our applications running. That means CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, monitoring, and incident response. You think in systems, automate everything you can, and make deployments boring (in the best way).
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment
- Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or Pulumi)
- Operate and improve Kubernetes clusters or container orchestration platforms
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and observability using Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar
- Implement security best practices: secrets management, network policies, IAM roles, and audit logging
- Automate repetitive operations: infrastructure provisioning, database backups, log rotation, certificate renewals
- Respond to production incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment frequency and reduce mean time to recovery
Requirements
- 3+ years of DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering experience
- Proficiency with at least one cloud platform: AWS, GCP, or Azure (networking, compute, storage, IAM)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code: Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation
- Strong Linux administration skills: shell scripting, process management, networking, file systems
- Experience with container technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or ECS
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools: GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI
- Understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, TLS, VPCs, firewalls
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
Nice to Have
- Experience with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD or Flux
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies: Istio, Linkerd, or Consul Connect
- Knowledge of cost optimization strategies for cloud infrastructure
- Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, CKA/CKAD, or equivalent
Tools & Workflow
- Git and GitHub for version control and infrastructure code review
- Terraform or Pulumi for infrastructure-as-code
- VS Code or Cursor with AI-assisted tools (GitHub Copilot or similar) for scripting and config authoring
- Jira, Linear, or PagerDuty for task tracking and incident management
- GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline management
- Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus for monitoring and observability
- Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration
What We Offer
- Competitive salary benchmarked to your experience and location
- Fully remote position with flexible working hours
- Equipment budget for your home office setup
- Annual learning budget for courses, conferences, and certifications
- Health coverage and wellness benefits
- Flexible PTO policy with no approval bottlenecks
