What it is
Capacity as a Service (CaaS) is a flexible model where you get on-demand access to skilled professionals without hiring full-time employees. You bring in capacity when you need it, then scale it back when you don't. A third-party partner (us) handles sourcing, vetting, contracts, payroll, and ongoing accountability, so you get output without rebuilding your org.
The acronym shows up in a few forms: Capacity as a Service, Consultant as a Service, and Capability as a Service. They all point at the same idea: rent the skills and the throughput you need, on flexible terms. The version we run is engineering capacity. This model is sometimes called staff augmentation. We prefer team extension because you keep control of the work and the engineers work as part of your team.
If you need a full team that runs itself, look at dedicated squads. If you need a fixed scope delivered for a fixed price, look at project-based development.

Why teams choose us
Everything that comes with the engineer: vetting, employment, accountability, and the ability to flex capacity up or down without rebuilding your hiring process.
We keep a vetted bench ready to start. Most clients get 3 to 5 matched profiles within 3 days, so you add capacity at the speed the work actually demands.
Turn capacity up for a release, dial it back when the workload eases. Month-to-month terms after a 2-week trial. No permanent headcount risk.
Technical depth, English communication, AI tool fluency, ownership mindset, and cultural alignment to US teams. Capacity you can trust, not warm bodies.
No project manager in the middle. Engineers join your Slack, attend your standups, push to your repo, and report to your tech lead. You direct the work.
LATAM engineers overlap 4 to 8 hours with US business hours. Live code reviews and real standups, not an async handoff to the other side of the world.
We employ engineers locally in Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and beyond. Contracts, payroll, taxes, and labor law are on us. You get one monthly invoice.
The process
Five steps. No procurement marathons. Most engagements move from initial call to active engineer in under 14 days.

Step 1
Share the role, stack, seniority, and the work the engineer will own. A 30-minute call is usually enough. We confirm what's in scope, what good looks like, and how fast you need it.

Step 2
You receive 3 to 5 pre-vetted profiles within 3 days. Each one includes the work they've done, the tools they use day to day, an English communication assessment, and a video introduction.

Step 3
You interview the engineers you like. We don't gate-keep. Take-homes, paired sessions, system design rounds: standard. The engineer is briefed on your company, stack, and team norms before the call.

Step 4
Once you say yes, the engineer signs on and gets access. We help with the onboarding playbook so they ship something useful in their first sprint. Your account contact runs a 30-day check-in.

Step 5
Need more capacity later? We move faster because we already know your stack and culture. If something isn't working, we replace within 30 days at no cost. Most clients stay 12+ months.
