About the Role
You will own the product roadmap and work with engineering, design, and stakeholders to decide what gets built and why. This is a high-agency role. You talk to customers, analyze data, define priorities, and ship features that move metrics. You make hard trade-offs, say no more than yes, and keep the team focused on what matters.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the product roadmap based on user research, data analysis, and business goals
- Write clear product specs and acceptance criteria that engineers can build from
- Prioritize features and backlog items using a consistent framework (RICE, ICE, or custom)
- Run discovery processes: user interviews, survey analysis, competitive research, and prototype testing
- Collaborate daily with engineering and design to unblock work and clarify requirements
- Define and track success metrics for every feature shipped (activation, retention, revenue impact)
- Communicate product updates, decisions, and trade-offs to stakeholders and leadership
Requirements
- 3+ years of product management experience in a software company
- Track record of shipping features that measurably improved a product metric
- Strong analytical skills: comfortable with SQL, product analytics tools (Amplitude, Mixpanel, PostHog), and A/B testing
- Experience writing product specs, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Ability to prioritize under constraints and communicate the reasoning behind decisions
- Understanding of software development processes: agile, sprint planning, release management
- Experience working with remote or distributed engineering teams
- Clear written and verbal communication in English
Nice to Have
- Technical background or ability to read code and discuss architecture trade-offs with engineers
- Experience with B2B SaaS or marketplace products
- Familiarity with data tools: Looker, Metabase, or similar BI platforms
- Prior experience defining pricing, packaging, or go-to-market strategy
Tools & Workflow
- Jira, Linear, or Notion for backlog management and sprint planning
- Figma for reviewing designs and creating wireframes
- Amplitude, Mixpanel, or PostHog for product analytics and event tracking
- AI-assisted writing and analysis tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar) for research synthesis and spec drafting
- Loom or similar for async product updates and demo recordings
- Miro or FigJam for collaborative workshops and ideation sessions
